Medicare DME Competitive Bid Program

We are proud to announce Colonial Medical Supplies has been contracted by Medicare to participate in the Round 1 and Round 2 bid areas.  Beginning January 1st, 2014 Colonial Medical will once again be a true one stop shop for our patients in Orlando.  Additionally, Colonial is the largest contract awardee in the country with over 630 contracts in nearly every CBA in both round 1 and round 2 of the Medicare competitive bid program.

• Is Colonial Medical Supplies going to use subcontractors?

Yes… We are actively seeking subcontractors in many of the CBA’s we were awarded contracts. If you are interested in being a subcontractor for CMS, click below to sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement to start the process.

This question gets asked a lot. Truth is, we have been operating a DME company in a round one competitive bid area since the program started January 1st 2011. The last 2 years have been the most profitable in the company’s 31 year history.

Florida Home Medical Supply, inc is the corporate name for Colonial Medical Supplies.  Florida Home Medical Supply, inc has operated under the dba Colonial Medical Supplies Since 1982.


In the near future we will be offering a new easier way to submit referrals and order equipment from Colonial Medical Supplies. We hope to have the process in place by early June. Please check back soon for updated information, training videos, and more questions answered.
