Kendall Ultec Pro Alginate Hydrocolloid Dressings

- Ultec™ Pro alginate hydrocolloid dressings are sterile wound dressings designed to use on light to moderately exudating wounds. These dressings provide an optimal moist wound healing environment. The alginate formulation provides greater absorbency to help reduce dressing changes. A thin profile helps improve product conformability.
- Sterile wound dressing designed for use on light to moderately exudating wounds
Instructions for Use
- Grasp tabs and pull apart
- Cut or trim dressing to fit and conform to the wound location
- Remove release paper
- Adhesive side is applied to the skin
- Apply Preppies™ skin barrier wipe prior to dressing application, to avoid peri-wound skin damage
- Use your hand to press the dressing into any skin folds and to warm the dressing, thus activating the adhesive
- Avoid moving the patient for 30 minutes to allow the adhesive to fully activate
Indications
For use on light to moderately exudating wounds
- Stage I- IV Pressure Ulcers
- Dermal Ulcers
- Donor Sites
- Second Degree Burns
- Superficial Wounds
Precautions
- Wounds with depth into muscle, tendon or bone
- Infected wounds, heavily draining wounds
- Wounds with active vasculitis; e.g. Lupus, cryoglobulinemia or peri-arteritis nodosa
