Customer Guidelines for Hurricane Preparedness
We here at Colonial Medical Supplies put our customer's health first. We want to make you aware of everything you can do to prepare for this year's hurricane season.
We live in a state where hurricanes are a way of life. Hurricane season starts the first of June and continues into November of the same year. What that means is that for 6 months out of each year, we all must be prepared in case a hurricane threatens. Because of the nature of our business, your continued good health is our concern and your needs depend on Colonial Medical Supplies during a hurricane more than ever. For this reason, we would like to help you to be prepared.
We recommend having at least one week's worth of medical supplies in case of a disaster. You may purchase many of these supplies at Colonial Medical Supplies.
We will be contacting our Category Level 2 patients (oxygen, air mattresses, etc) at first notice of a hurricane in our path. We have certain procedures that will go into effect.
If you are evacuating, please remember to bring your concentrator. Please check with the your prefered shelter in regards to your concentrator.
We have an 24/7 Emergency On-call line. Just dial 407-849-6455 and press 8, it will ring the on-call phone.
Below you will find the addresses and websites for the Special Needs Shelter registration and information in order by County.
